About Me

- Carlie
- I am Carlie Gilbert. I just recently graduated from Brigham Young University Hawaii. That's right. I lived in Hawaii, which was a dream and half. Now I'm living in Dallas and teaching Elementary School. I would never call myself a fashionista but I do love thrift store shopping or a good retail sale. So this blog is a glace at some of the outfits I have put together. Enjoy!

College Algebra part 2
On a previous post I mentioned that college algebra is the devil. This statement is still very true. I would like to add to it, that administrators are also the devil. So I wanted out of college algebra into math model, which is a senior math class. The principal said no, because I got commended on my state tests, putting me in the top 5% of people who took the math part of the taks test in Texas, so obviously I'm not stupid. If I go in saying I want out, you just told me how smart I am. Apparently not smart enough to make my own choices. So I remain in freakin college algebra. Does anyone know how to take the square root of a square root, and then solve for x with square root on the other side? Yea, please tell me when I'll ever use that again. School is such a waste of time. Wake me up when May comes. On a much brighter side, they felt bad for being so very mean and making me take college algebra that they are giving me 1st period office aid for time to study, they are also giving me a teacher's aid 5th period, where I can go in for help. Who said crying doesn't do anything for you?
