About Me

- Carlie
- I am Carlie Gilbert. I just recently graduated from Brigham Young University Hawaii. That's right. I lived in Hawaii, which was a dream and half. Now I'm living in Dallas and teaching Elementary School. I would never call myself a fashionista but I do love thrift store shopping or a good retail sale. So this blog is a glace at some of the outfits I have put together. Enjoy!

You got one thing right.
Going into my senior year is scary and exciting at the same time. I'm so excited for this year, I've got the best friends anyone could ever ask or hope for. They understand me, and what I stand for, they just get me, sometimes more than I really get myself. It's scary because this time next year I'll be packing up my things and going off to college. How crazy is that? I swear yesterday I was outside riding my bike around the neighborhood, playing with barbies, and dreaming about falling in love. The thought of college is scary, but I really am so excited! I can't believe I'm 17 years old. Where has the time gone? All of you that have watched me grow up are prolly wondering the same thing. I've learned so much over these past few years. I've learned that when you love your self, everyone else will too. I've learned that it really doesn't matter what they think about you, and I've learned that whatever I want, I've got to go a hundred percent and give it my all, because anything short of that and some other sucker will have it. I've learned that when you put your heart on your sleeve, it will get broken. And that the people that are there when you are breaking down, those people that lift you up, are your true friends. I've learned that coach Meillio is absolutely right, the vastness of what I don't know dwarfs the universe.

ReplyDeleteThis was a good post. Made me think... I'm STILL riding bikes and dreaming about falling in love (no barbies, though). :)
